This gallery is intended to give you a snapshot of topics and events celebrated during each week. We provide updates on our closed Facebook page for parents including lots of photos and whiteboard photos outlining daily activities.
We also have Forest-School style sessions which take place in the grounds of the Scout and Guide HQ directly behind the preschool. These we have named “Small Steps into Nature” and can be seen here also.
We have had lots of fun learning about a variety of topics including; All About Me, Colours, Chinese New Year, Autumn, Harvest, Diwali, Fireworks, Animals, Remembrance Day, Transport and Christmas and we try to link each topic to a book for example: The Very Hungry Caterpillar or The Gruffalo. We have “You Choose” Literacy and Numeracy trollies out every day where children can choose their own activities other than what has been selected for them as we set up in the morning.

Activities include party week, Valentines Day, and Chinese New Year.
We made calendars, celebrated Burns Night by making flags and lots of porridge, Bird week, and Pirate week.
